It is with great pleasure that we can announce that Brigadier Peter Rowell MBE was last month formally appointed as the next Chief Executive and Commandant of the Defence Academy.
Brigadier Rowell will come to the Defence Academy from the Development Concepts and Doctrine Centre (DCDC) where he has held the post of Head of Concepts and Force Exploration for nearly two years. He currently leads a multi-national and joint team, whose projects inform and influence UK Defence policy, strategy, force design and capability development.
Speaking of his appointment, Brigadier Rowell said:
“Defence is incredible at through-life development. I know because of my own journey. The several courses I have attended at Shrivenham have helped me to be ready (and excited!) to join the Defence Academy team”.
