About this course
Volunteer Chaplains will be required to provide pastoral care to RAF Air Cadets and to provide moral and religious direction. The course provides volunteers with an insight into the specific issues facing young people and staff in a 'pseudo' military environment and also to discuss the support available from the regular chaplaincy, single service entities.
What you will learn
You will learn/develop:
- opportunities for providing religious and moral instruction to RAF Air Cadets and staff
- sources of support
- establishing the nature of the culture and ethos of the RAF Air Cadets
- establishing the nature of the culture and ethos of the Regular RAF Chaplaincy
- practical aspects of providing pastoral care to RAF Air Cadets including:

- providing church services, supporting commemorations, parades etc
- need to know principles
- reporting
- chain of command
- safeguarding and duty of care

This course will enable volunteers to better understand the RAF Air Cadets and the RAF Chaplain.

Who can attend this course
- Military
Attendees are Air Cadet Chaplains nominated by the Air Cadet Organisation.
Before you attend
Accepted as honorary chaplain with the RAF Air Cadets.
