About this course
You will be provided with the framework to enhance your strategic leadership performance and understand the challenges of leadership at the strategic level. You will examine leadership models and ethics, managing major changes within the organisation and decision making at the corporate and strategic level.
Learning will be via lectures and seminars.
Formal letters of invitation are issued by IDTA as directed by DE Strat, via the in-country Defence Attaché (Just like overseas students for RCDS and ACSC).
What you will learn
You will:
*explore contemporary leadership paradigms and theories
*develop a personal leadership model adapted for your national security framework
*gain a better appreciation of the differences between command, leadership and management along with the corporate and individual responsibilities within these functional areas
*examine ethical theories and critical decision-making in complex situations

It will broaden your knowledge at a key area of your professional development. You will gain access to global alumni where many of the issues are similar but the approach to challenges may differ.

Who can attend this course
- Military
The course is allocated to specific countries by DE Strat MOD through the Forward Allocation Baseline for forthcoming years. Bids should be submitted through respective defence attachés or IPP/WEP desk officers. The course is at the 1 and 2* level.
Before you attend
IELTS level 5.5 to gain the most.
