About this course
This course will give you a knowledge and understanding of quality assurance within the MOD for the quality practitioner. Successful completion of this course and exam are mandatory requirements of the Government Quality Assurance (GQA) elements of the MOD Quality Practitioner Licensing Scheme.
What you will learn
By the end of the course you will:
- understand the roles and activities undertaken by a GQA Practitioner
- be able to state the policies and standards that are required for the role and will know where to find sources of advice and guidance
- understand the role and benefits of a Quality Management System (QMS)

This course is part of the quality management suite of courses and has been designed to enhance your understanding in this field. The course is mandated if your intention is to obtain an MOD Government Quality Assurance or Comprehensive licence.

Before you attend
For those staff new to quality - completion of the 2 foundation module workbooks that are called Quality Awareness Training. These workbooks form part of the Quality Development Scheme (QDS) that is managed by QCM(Pol).
For all staff – pre-course reading of JSP 940 Parts 1 and 2 and GQA Framework document, available via the internet. Staff are to attend the course with copies of JSP 940 Part 2 and GQA Framework document and availability of access to KiD Managing Quality topic via the internet.
