About this course
Over the course of the workshop, you will briefly refresh your understanding of the MOD annual budgeting cycle, the roles of finance staff in the process and the MOD's planning budgeting and forecasting system.
The workshop then focuses on re-profiling cost lines, identifying and costing potential risks, rebalancing and reprogramming and producing options to return to a position of affordability.
The course assumes a level of prior knowledge of the MOD's finance function.

- identify and cost any anticipated risks to a financial plan
- undertake appropriate internal rebalancing and reprogramming action
- produce outline options, to return to a position of affordability

The completion of the "Finance Skills Certificate Foundation" on the Defence Learning Environment (DLE) is a pre-requisite for the Effective Finance Planning course.
