About this course
The Defence Spokesperson Course (DSC) will introduce you to the media environment, the rules governing contact with the media, key defence communications objectives, as well as providing practical interview skills via practice video and audio interviews with professional journalists.
The course content for DSC is also included as a component in the two-week Joint Media Practitioner Course (JMPC).

You will learn best practice and techniques regarding how to deal with the media during an interview.
How this course will help your career
The course will prepare you for media facing roles, especially for high profile positions such as a defence attaché, flag/general/air officer and other high profile/public facing positions.

You should only attend this course if your media duties are solely related to interacting as a spokesperson on behalf of the MOD.
